Since some idiot on here suggested I get a blender, I've been having 6-9 bananas pretty much every day (bananas are oddly small here, however)

I wonder if there's a limit to healthy eating when it comes to bananas *rubs chin*

Any other smoothie suggestions? elaborate ones preferred.

how are those two things (blender and banana consumption) related?

Bananas are a good source of potassium.

Quote:
Too much potassium can cause the muscles and nerves to malfunction, leading to irregular heartbeat. Other indications are stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding, muscle spasms, irritability, fatigue, thready pulse and heart failure. It can also cause the skin on the hands, feet and tongue to tingle with a "pins and needles" sensation.

Though according to various sources on the Internet, you'd have to eat upwards of 50 of the things in one sitting to be in danger.

I doubt you can banana yourself to death. It's likely eating cream or chocolate or other rich things with them that might be bad for you in excess.

That said, fry them and dabble a little chocolate on them. I used to see the dish a lot in Mexico.

Use a few less bananas and chuck in some frozen strawberries - they're cheap and easy to find in the freezer section. Add a few scoops of protein powder if that's your thang. Flax seed meal (you can get the seeds from Emart or wherever and grind them with a coffee grinder) is a good addition for Omega 3 and fibre. Soft tofu fills it out a bit.

Frozen blueberries, the juice of half a lemon, and the liquid of your choice (milk, water, soy or rice milk) makes a tasty treat.

Mango, pineapple, and orange is another nice blend.

I'll never understand what people see in mango. If there was a fruit kingdom, the noble raspberry would rule on high, and mangos would be the filthy, casteless untouchables, building their homes out of the leavings of other, better fruits and living sad, hopeless existences. In their desparation, many would turn to terrorism. Praising mangos is like praising terrorism.

Which brings me to my point: raspberry + milk + blender = delicious. You can often find them free in the mountains.

Mangos are a delicious treat in the summer. It's a matter of tastebud preference. I love raspberries as well, but hate having to floss immediately after eating them.

What I see in mangoes? yellow, mostly.

Agh, now I have a huge... BUNCH of choices. I was gonna just shove random fruits in, but didn't really think of the extra additions for health and texture.

Still... I think the banana has a hold on me...
