Does anyone have good recommendations for hotels in Shanghai that are roughly $25 USD a night per person? It can be a little above or below that. I will be traveling with a friend so it'd have to be a place that has double occupancy.

Wow that's asking a lot during expo. Don't book in advance and take a taxi to yan an west rd and jiangsu lu. There at the corner is a travel agent and if you go up stairs there is a decent hotel for 150 rmb a night divide that by 6.7 to get us dollar. Lots of decent priced hotels in this area and close to line number 2 subway which all tourists tend to use. In this area is also da hua hotel which will give discounts if you insist for a room on the highway side of the building.
A very nice boutique hotel at about 939 yan an west rd with rooms for 30-40 dollars . hard to see this place is right beside a convenience store right after the electric power hospital. there is also comfort inns and hotel 218 in this area for about 45 us a night. |
