Hello all. I'm an American currently working as an Esl teacher in Korea. My contract runs out in mid-October and I've tapped out Korea. Does anyone know the procedure for foreigners (Americans) moving and getting an Esl job from one country (Korea) to another (China). Any accurate and real information will be greatly appreciated. |

It varies a bit from region to region (due to differences in "Z" visa requirements to get your "invitation" to get your visa.
Once you get your invitation you apply for your visa at the Chinese embassy for your "Z" visa and head on over.
There is more paperwork AFTER you get there (like residence permit, etc.)
You can get more specific info on the international job board (separate registration required) in the China forums and you can also do a google for "SAFEA" (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) in China and get a ton more relevant (but more general) information including examples of government approved contracts for "foreign experts".
