Haven't bought anything yet but I have been tempted by quick-dry gloves that go up to your elbows and pipe cleaners.

The most popular item I've seen sold are magnifying glasses with a built in lmp. The vendor sold 4 of them in the car I was in.

Once I bought a spring loaded spinning top with LEDs on the which made patterns. Wish I bought a ton of them, they were great fun and would have made good presents. Haven't seen them since Sad

I've gotten winter hats from a subway vendor before. I think I paid 10,000 won for 3. Best 10,000 won I ever spent.

I bought a little sewing kit. 2 thousand won and I still have it two years later. Also, a tomato that made a pretty convincing 'squash' on a flat surface. Sadly, that one didn't last so long.

I bought a kind of fleece neck tube/muffler I wear when I ride my scooter in the winter. 1,000 won and I've had it for 3 years. Also a lint brush, a hand-cranked flashlight, some magnet clips, a drain cleaner, mini-screwdriver set, and a ton of other stuff. I'm a sucker for those guys.

I've always noticed that once one person buys an item, the wallets start to open. I guess I kinda do it out of kindness to help these guys out.

I agree. I saw a guy selling little shoe polishing kits for 1000 won. I don't think they worked very well, but he probably sold over 10 just in my car alone. Pretty good salesman...

I've considered giving the salesman a few cheonners just to turn off that painfully bad music they occasionally blast when selling those adjosshi folk music CDs.

When we were there...

Gloves, hats. towels, cell phone decorations (my wife was addicted to those)...

A lot of the stuff is useless but there are good deals out there.

This is the best toy ever! I bought it in the subway and have loved it ever since! And it still works!

"Lost" Season one- Can use it with English and Korean subtitles.
Very ESL/EFL friendly and the students love it. Will use the episode with the Jin/Sun backstory for my camp.
