would you guys want a heart surgeon operating on you if he failed his written test 100 times?
She's not doing heart surgery, but she's still driving a vehicle. |
No more or less than Id trust a competant doctor who passed it the first time but is trying to save my life after working for over 48 hours straight.
no more or less than I already trust the number of competant people with licenses who constantly drive drunk or reckless. |
Those are externalities that are beyond the point.
Yes or no, would you feel safe in the hands of a doctor/surgeon who failed his written test 1000 times?
would you feel the same about a doctor who passed on the first try? |

you are equating things that are in no way equal.
How can you say a doctor up for 48 hours isnt something that is about the point? He could be the best damn doctor in the world, but not after 48 hours of being awake.
there is also no general "written test" for doctors. They take hundreds of smaller tests and PLENTY of practical experience evaluations.
As stated a written test in no way tells you what kind of a good driver you will be.
Lastly if that surgeon IS operating on me thats an entirely different matter of a lady behind the wheel of a car that even if she is the worst driver in the world, I have the intelligence and the ability to avoid if I am paying attention to the road. I can't very well avoid a surgeons potential stupidity while I am unconcious
So I am not answering your question as it is an illogical assumption of facts anyway, as well as being a total non sequitor to the matter at hand |

I'm talking about a woman who failed her written test thousands of time and a doctor who failed his test(s) hundreds of times. I'm not talking about a woman who's tired or a doctor who's tired.

I'm talking about a doctor who failed all his written tests hundreds of times. would you feel safe with a doctor who failed his written tests hundreds of times?

I'm not talking about behing a good driver. I'm talking about bad drivers. the test might not tell you how good of a driver you'll be, but it can tell you that you're a terrible driver. what if the reason the woman failed her test was because she thought the legal speed limit was 65 km/h? What if she failed hundreds of times because she thought red light means go?

I'll rephrase my question. Would you feel comfortable being treated by a doctor who failed his written test(s) hundreds of times? yes or no?
would you feel comfortable riding in the same car as the woman who failed thousands of times? |

| There was a dude in NZ caught for driving without a licence. The officer found that the man hadn't any arms. He was steering the car with his feet. The auto car didn't have any modifications. The freaky thing was the man said that he had not had any problem in all his three years of driving. |
