I will be spending some weekends and vacations in Seoul. I usually stay in a tourist hotel near Itaewon but I can probably find a nicer room in a love motel for the same price or less. Near Itaewon would be great. I also prefer a place with a bathtub. Any suggestions?

Good luck. If you find one that has the following, pm me immediately. I want a motel room that has all of this:

1) A shower (with warm water, not cold)
2) Taps that are obvious to figure out how to turn on and off.
3) A bathroom floor that is not lethally slippery.
4) Soundproof windows. (I don't want to hear drunken arguments or people urinating in the street).
5) A nice big TV with satellite channels, that actually works
6) Aircon that does not instantly give you a cold.
7) Internet
Cool More than one coffee sachet.
9) Lots of space.
10) Is close to the subway.

Yeah..interested to know.

Its quite amazing the range of deals you can get. Occasionally you pay 40, the room has everything and is worth about 60.

Any more suggestions? I am looking for something around Itaewon or maybe Insadong or Namdaemun.

There are a few Seoul motel reviews, one is for a motel in Jongro which is 5 mins walk from Insadong.

I found a cool one near the Mangu subway station.

Sorry, don't know Seoul that well.

There's an E-mart across the steet, and a bus terminal.

L&S Hotel (Luxury&Sexy) www.hotellns.co.kr

Big screen TV,dvd, internet, jacuzzi bathtub, small fridge, complimentary dvd's and popcorn!! all for 60,000 krw.(two people) maybe cheaper for one.

as far as i remember it was 50,000 a night for the two of us. we could use the free DVDs and there was a wii too (deposit only).

not a bad place at all, however, i have no real basis for comparison.

i'd choose it again if i was going that way though
