This was one of the toughest questions on my application.. "what age level do you want to teach?" I ended up putting high school as my first choice.. then i talked with my recruiter and i asked him to change it to elementary. I think they'll put me wherever they want me.. but ultimately i ended up deciding upon elementary. However, I will miss having semi-complex conversations with my students.. with elementary students i'm always thinking, GREAT they've got it now, but will they remember it when they're older and actually need it?!? have to wait a long time to know that.. |

I would say kids are fun but I did have an encounter with University level. But the problem with the University level it that they make everything a drink out or a party or somehow we just drink at a HOF and then get super drunk and sing Karoke. |

I chose elementary because while every age group has their ups and downs, elementary seems to be the safest bet. Also most of my prior experience with children is with elementary age kids. I think if you have the credentials and skills University level sounds like the next best age group. |

Elementary school aged kids learn the quickest (intrinsic reward of seeing progress), are the most forgiving (unlike middle and high school kids that can get their feelings hurt and don't forget it) and by far are the most fun! (no cynicism or criticism received, just smile, engage them and they will do whatever without self consciousness or fear of failure). |
