AIG Auto insurance quoted me between 500-700,000 won a year to insure a cheap econo type car like Avante, Accent etc.

Hi,

Just remember that buying just the minimum insurance required by law in Korea is not always a good idea. Let's say that you are in an accident and the other person gets hurt. Let's say it is your fault. What will happen to you? The more insurance you have the less likely you are to get sued and or go to jail. Trust me, this is from personal experience. Let's just say Christmas of 99 was not my favorite Christmas. I highly suggest unlimited insurance. Even that cannot totally protect you.

Jina Agency in Itaewon.....sorry, don't have the number....we pay just over 400,000 per year for 2 people.....this is AIG Insurance.

Jina and her assistant both speak fluent English and it can all be done over the phone via ATM bank transfer.
