i've got a wall mounted unit. it has a hose that leads through the wall to the balcony where it drips into a drain, but lately the front of the unit has been dripping (onto my bed, no less). is there some place i can drain out some excess liquid or something? is the usual liquid filter just overloaded by the humidity recently? |

get in touch with a maintenance person and they will install a small water pump to suck the water out. It runs about once an hour and is pretty loud and annoying |

Hi.
Does your air con have 2 plugs to it? I ask only because at work the same thing happened to the machine in my room and its all because I unplugged one of the two plugs (that I now know powers a water pump) to plug in a laptop... when the air con didnt stop working I just assumed that what I had unplugged was useless. A silly mistake.
Hope that helps. |

Hey, mate...I had exactly the same problem this summer and I suggest you move quick to sort it because it gets worse (until water starts literally pouring out).
The problem could be simple - the hose that goes to the balcony gets blocked up with gunk and stuff, so it can't drain properly. If you have a strong vacuum cleaner with a hose, you can use it to clear the air con drain hose. That's what I did, and since then haven't had a single drop of water come out the front of the unit.
Word of warning though - if your vacuum uses a cardboard bag or anything, take it out. I didn't and water got into the vacuum, soaked the bag, caused a big stink and has put my vacuum out of commision for the last couple of days while it dries out. Hope it just isn't knackered completely.
Good luck! |

I had the same problem and all I had to do was un-coil the hose that drains out on my patio. So, definitely listen to Hootsmon's advice. If that doesn't work, you might have to call a repair man. |

is it new? I had a new one installed and it dripped.
it was set at a wrong angle so the water could not go down the hose.
I angled it the other way and no more problem |
