Torrents are so "last decade". Megaupload or Rapidshare are soooo much better IMHO. Don't you guys agree?

Medaupload/RS costs money.

Torrents are free.

100 megabit (or even (fddh) giga-bit) connections with no throttles... even on Demonoid I can often get transfer rates of over 5mbps on any file that is well seeded. I occasionally get rates as high as 20mbps on individual files.

I am so jealous, the internet in our house here sucks, it was faster at home Sad 300kb/s is my max. In fact it both sucks AND blows Sad

I know it has a public listing, but I've never been any to get any speed without logging in. I've also been on other actual private trackers (no public listings) rarely with content demonoid doesn't offer outside of a specific niche.

Just wait till you get here.

p2p and torrents won't be dead any time soon.

Great place to get some invites to private trackers. No trading--all give-aways. Private trackers make a huge difference in one's torrenting experience.

I'm curious what kind of service you guys have to get those high d/l and u/l rates. How much are you paying for those connections through which service. I'm thinking of changing my service to get those high rate connections.

100mbs is usually around 35-40k (plus taxes). It is available in most places from companies like KT. Problem usually exists that most folks sign up for the cheaper "lite" service instead of paying for the full service.

gigabyte service is about 50-60k and availability largely depends on where you are and if the building is wired for it.

I think that's my prob. My max d/l is 1meg at peak. I always get astounded when I read people getting 3 meg or even 10 megs d/l's. I think I got the lite service over the full service. I guess it's time for me change after my next pay check
