There are about 10 dozen in that area. All are the same on the inside. Big TV. Bigger bed. Computer with internet in room. Multiple shower heads in the bathroom. If you can't find a love motel better than your house, you're just not looking hard enough.
Of course they've all changed now. The Seoul city government took on the project a few years ago to turn all the shitty old love motels into something much nicer. When I first arrived, they weren't near as nice as they are now. My first few nights in Korea were spent in a love motel. Old dirty wallpaper. Circle bed. Old out of date furniture in the rooms. Small little tv with about 4 channels on it. Terrible old bathroom with holes in the walls and gunk on the tub. Not like today. Today's love motels are so nice, I'd like to just live in one. |

If you don't have to stay in Kangnam, go over to Nambu terminal subway station.. there are about 30 in that area. |

Thanks. But I'm looking for specific recommendations if you have any that you know are nice, have some ridiculous theme, etc. |

If you walk up from Gangnam Station (towards Yangjae) there's a big brown Prugio building and directly behind it is the IMT Hotel. A little expensive, but for 100,000 Won you can rent the VIP room for the night. It has two beds, a private norebang and jacuzzi, 2 free bottles of wine, and the room is new and huge. I live close by but sometimes rent the room just to sing and relax in the tub! I'm sure the standard rooms are nice too. Hope this helps |
