|
|
I just had my internet and cable with KT however I just found out from my boss that I will be moving apartments in the next few weeks to months. The internet and cable I needed to sign a one year contract. Does anyone know if I will be able to switch my cable to a different residence with out having to cancel my contract and pay a fee? |

It should be in your hagwon's name, the end |

What do you mean? The apartment is in the hagwon's name but the internet and cable is in my name.
Do you mean there is no way for me to transfer the services to my new apartment? |

You can transfer it, it happens all the time. Generally, you just need to call them a few days before you are moving and tell them your new address and set a time to come and re-connect stuff (probably best to have a Korean call them).
Each company is different (I just did this with SK) but I'm guessing there will be a small fee for disconnecting/reconnecting. In my case it was 25,000.
Since your school is having you move, maybe you can get them to cover this but I know that's easier said than done.
Good luck! |

Uh no, I mean the blatantly obvious and clearly stated.
YOUR UTILITIES SHOULD BE IN YOUR HAGWON OR HAGWON OWNERS NAME. |

My internet service is in my name.
I had to change apartments, and had a friend call to set up an appointment for them to change it over. It took all of 10 minutes, and there was no fee. |

Did mine with SK a few months back. No fee. They were happy to do it. Call and set up an appointment with your new address. They told me to just bring my box with me. Guy came and set it up. E Z as it gets. |
