Does anyone know of a place in Seoul where I can have VHS tapes converted to AVI/MPG files or DVDs? |

Emart... no kidding!
Maybe Homeplus and others like Emart do that as well, but anyway, at Emart go where you can get your pictures developped and they can do that for you. I don't remember for sure, but I think it's something like 8,000 won per half hour... a bit expensive. |

Actually I was wondering this too. I have an old Korean movie that I an not find online or on DVD but can buy the video. Was wanting to convert to DVD or video file.
Actually if anybody who could recommend somebody to translate the Korean for subtitles would be awesome, too. |

Hey, if you do it at Emart or anywhere else, please post about it. I'd like to know how good the video quality is, which file format they used, how much you paid in all, ... |

I am doing this myself at home. I bought a usb connector for my vcr called EASYCAP and it came with a software disk.
excellent quality videos depending on how old the vhs tapes are

Thanks! Found it on Gmarket and it's just 22,500 won.
I have one question, though. Is the software in Korean only? |
