Can anyone tell me what exactly I need for a proof of income letter? I have to apply for a visa, but my current job gives me no documents to show my income. They tell me that if I paid pension (I don't because I am South African) I would be able to get it from the district office or something, but because I do not pay pension, I cannot get it.
Help, please. |

Why would you not pay pension because you are South African? |

SAFERS are exempt due to a bilateral treaty between Korea and South Africa.
If you work at a public school your admin office will issue a certificate of income and taxes paid.
If you work at a private school then you are legally entitled to a certificate of employment (under labor law) that would include any or all of (at the employees request):
salary/earnings
start date
end date (or current date)
name, address and registration of employer,
job name / description

just ask your boss. They are pretty common requests by Korean employees when they apply for loans or other bank services.
