use firefox.

everyone should.
MS internet explorer stopped improving and developing over a year ago. i've been using mozilla since then and haven't seen a pop-up since.
it's faster, lighter, and facilitates tabbed windows (ctrl-T) |

| Yahoo's toolbar works well, too, and you can specify sites from which you want to allow pop-ups. |
