Pretty much is, I'm Canadian and I'm thinking of living in Seoul and possibly starting a life here. My GF is Korean, and it's getting pretty serious, but I'm don't want to teach English just to stay here.
Cause I can stay here for 6 months w/o a visa, and I'm not really working here (I might take some Korean language classes... but that's about it really...), could I make a "visa" run and come back to renew the 6 months? |

yes.
i have some dodgey friends who work illegally here and all they do is go into immigration every three months and extend their tourist visa. so as long as you have a ticket out of the country for some point in the future, i think you can extend it quite often with no real problems. |

That's if you can handle the constant questioning from immigration officials about why you keep going in and out of the country every six months.
You could get a student visa and still work but that means paying tuition at a university language school. |

As long as you can show a place to live (with your G/F) and means of support that does not require working illegally (living with your G/F is acceptable) then you have no problems with immigration and repeat entries into Korea.

Can I just show them my bank statement? I'm making enough in American that doesn't require me to be there. I just really enjoy living here lol |

If it is an American bank statement that shows sufficient income or assets then yes; you can stay for years as a tourist.
