|
|
I was just wondering if anyone has any good ones they can share?
I am going to be going on an extended vacation and the only stipulation from my school was that i find my own sub, but outside of Craigslist, I dont really have any place to look.
Thanks in advance! |

Are you ready to pay the price! or is the school going to be paying! Besides most people who would take a substitute job will likely be illegal (if your school is demanding a whitey).
You might want to convince your school to just reorganize the students for a week or two. Or just have a Korean teacher do it.
Have you tried WorkNPlay website. I think they might have a list place.
Good Luck |

they are paying for it, and they don't care about it being a white person, just someone who can pull off a first language accent and teach in English. They do not want someone with:
1. A thick second language accent
2. Someone who is going to try and use Korean in the lesson |

When I mean pay. I mean someone who will ask for the basic private teaching wage of 30,000 and up per hour. Very few people will take it for your wage based on time taught. |

I make 25 per teaching hour and that is what they are paying, I don't think, based on pay anyway, it should be too tough to get someone to agree to that if i can find someone with an open time table.
Edit: Just more details, I get 28.5 hours a week so that works out to 712.5 a week and i need a sub for two weeks straight. You think that wage will be a problem? |

I know when they got a guy to cover a teacher for a week and a half at my school he was getting paid 35 an hour, FWIW. Bear in mind that your conditions are different pay-wise, as you're working for an apartment, health insurance, and severance, while this person will be working for your flat salary. You're really limited by the money combined with a very limited pool to choose from (legally). |
