I have about 6 days of vacation coming up and I need some ideas on how/where to spend it.

I've already done central Japan, Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai), Taipei, and Hong Kong.

I would love to do Shanghai or Beijing, but I wont have my arc extended in time to get a visa.

I'm also not much of a beach person.

So all that being said...any ideas for a relatively inexpensive vacation? I dont mind spending some money.

Don't do China for a vacation. Go to a beach or serene place in Southeast Asia but depending on when you're going, getting tickets can be tough.

Almost all the tourists love China so big ?????? on your remark. They said they are not much of a beach person. I still feel like I am on vacation after 8 months in Shanghai.

I actually have interest in visiting Myanmar but I'm not sure how I feel about the current regime and I hear that tourism there helps to support it.

please let me know if I'm misinformed.

Yeah I cant swim and I hate sand, but I do like serene places. That being said I like to experience cultural places on my vacation. I'm not a "check-list tourist", but I'm not far from it....
