Yea, he was my first recruiter. I would say go to a few other places first. Like a half dozen or so. He's got some integrity, but just some. Nothing special. 5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Is this John in Toronto? If so, I remember him calling me several times before I left Canada at 2 and 3 am in the morning. I was not impressed!

He was my recruiter at my first hagwon. He mislead me about the number of days I would be working each week. (Wised me up to making sure this kind of thing was specified clearly in the contract.) He claims to follow up his placements. None of the 4 teachers he placed at my school ever heard from him again.

He did teach me a valuable lesson about the free market. Valuable to me since I had largely only worked for the government...

After 2 weeks of being at the school he wrote me and asked if I was having a good time. I said yes and then he asked if I would put a comment on his website to the effect "Having a great time - everyone and everything is wonderful..." I thought to myself ...I should wait a year then I would be certain. I'm really glad I thought of that.
