Not sure if anyone is playing starcraft 2 multiplayer, but it's a little too hardcore for me.
When I played Starcraft, I usually played against North American players, who I felt I was more on par with, but Korean gamers are insanely good. I am always outsourced.
Anyway, I wanted to see if I could start a thread for ESL cafe gamers for foreigners. I usually play after school during the weekdays if anyone's up for a friendly game. |

Once I get the game running I would like to join. But I am trying to see if I can join the NA servers. My game is from the US and would like to play my friends there. So we'll see what happens with all this region locking. |

Yeah- Koreans are way too into their game, but you should play more with them. It will undoubtedly improve your game so when you go home- guess who Pwns?
When I pick up a copy , I'd be down for sure.
Edit:
Watch the replays on Youtube for hints on build order/attack strat.
HDStarcraft is a bit corny (he never shuts up) but the games are shown in high quality- and he has lots of games broadcast from Asia. |

I have both versions of the game. I'm in the gold league on the NA servers but barely in the bronze league on the Korean servers. I get taken to school way too much by Korean silver/gold leaguers to move up. I don't even want to imagine what the diamond leaguers' skills are like.
The NA servers really don't get hardcore until you are at least in platinum. |

Blizzard has completely screwed us and their customer service is useless. They basically expect us to buy two versions of the game if we want to play it in English and have a low ping.
I refuse to buy it until they fix that. |

I had someone in the States buy it for me and send me the registration code. Right now I am trying to get it registered, but it won't accept the code. Acct is US and game is US. Gonna have to call in for support I guess. Can you use the Korean version on the US acct or did you have to make a second acct? |

I'm up for it, but I have the US client and play on US servers. PM if you wanna play.
On a semi related note, is there anyway to be able to play on both servers without purchasing 2 copies? This is getting a little out of hand. |

No.
as I said above. They expect us to buy 2 copies. Only the Aus zone gets that luxury of being able to switch between 2 zones (but not all)
You can't even get an english client for the Korean region. |

Hey, if anyone is interested in playing some SC 2, let me know. Finally got a handle (email) battlenet account. Can't play US or read Korean so I have no clue what I'm doing (just sticking to old strategies or messing around):

I just got my PC built so I might find my way to the NA SC2 servers. Otherwise, if we have a scheduled time I can run to a PC Bang to play on Korean servers. |

@ovid
You'd better learn Korean 'cuz we can't play with you. The US servers dont give access from Korean SC2 Bnet IDs.
