You know, I think it's worth it once or twice a year.
Fast for 24 hours so you can eat your money's worth, hand over your credit card and sign without looking.
Just enjoy life once in a while. |

Go and eat at Pataya or Hollee Chow. Good food and cheaper than that. |

Its pricey but well worth it. Perhaps one of my favorite restaurants inj Itaewon. Dude, I can't believe you were arguing over a bill, on White day in front of your girlfriend. Is she long gone? |
To this all I must respond (and I don't know why....these message boards seem to attract anonimous witty types that seemingly want to get on your nerves for one reason or another):
My girlfriend argued more than I did....and I would never seek to have a girlfriend whom I would have to think twice about arguing reasonably in front of. She is not long gone. And all of this is aside from the point. The point is they lied about the price and didnt share all the information before I ordered. It's immoral and bad for business. I won't go back there again. But you go right ahead. All in all...Korea...with all its downfalls...wins hands-down when it comes to alltruistic service at a restaurant with good food and good value. But Ashoka. in my opinion, seems like it suffers from Itaewonization. Someone define that for me. |

I don't think I've ever eaten a worse curry in a restaurant than the one I got at Pattaya, Thai Orchid isn't great but at least its better than the crap they served at Pattaya (where they tried to charge me for appetizers I didn't order or eat). But yeah, the Thai places are cheaper than the Indian places for whatever reason... |

I second that. Ate there two weeks ago, and had the green curry and chicken for 13,000w or so. The dish that came was almost entirely of mushrooms - and I HATE mushrooms. Very little chicken. Yick. Too bad - for those prices, the quality should be better than it was.
Thai Orchid - somewhat better. But an even better Thai restaurant is in Shinchon (down by Chamshil)... forget the name at the moment, but been there several times and has MUCH better food. |

Your silly ignorance of basic aspects of the hospitality industry that even my middle school nephews know (true, I just tested it) is surpassed only by the sad fact that you budget to the won how much a meal will cost.
What's for Christmas, TGI? |

Try the Indian Rest. on the other end of the street, behind the Tourist's Info. booth and up the hill. It's cozy and the food, cooked by the owner and served by his wife, is yummy. |

Shakarantha. Yes, quite good. One opened across the street from it too but it doesn't look as cozy and I have yet to try it. |
