Whatever you do, dont tell him to go unless he has something close to a guaranteed job. Id actually go on monster.ca or something and look apply. Most likely you it will be hard to find a job through the internet. Canada is a place where nepotism runs rampant and jobs are pretty scarce. It would be a bad idea to jump on a plane and get there only to see there are no opportunities.
You are doing the right thing by gathering information first. Keep on doing it. |

The winters in Calgary can get cold. I don't think most people form New Zealand realize how cold it gets. -30C weather can last about a month and you will be expected to work in -20C weather.
Don't assume you can just hop on a plane and land a job upon landing, you missed the boat on that era, the economy isn't what it was a few years ago. |
