Later in Chuseok week I'm looking at going to Japan. Ferry isn't an option as I need to fly in to Osaka. Anyone seen some super fantastic deals out there?

A return flight with Asiana will cost around $700. Not so cheap. Check the Gimpo Airport website to see what flights leave from there.

The 'Beetle' from Busan to Fukuoka is much cheaper & only takes 3 hours. Get a Jrail pass in Korea & the bullet train from Hakata will have you in Osaka in under 3 hours.

Check www.jejuair.net

They fly from Gimpo and Incheon direct to Osaka, flights can be as cheap as 200,000 won or less depending on time of booking.

Website is in Korean so you might need a friend to help out

This!

I've seen Flights to Japan (Nagoya) for as low as 160,000 through Jeju Air! At that price you could just take an overnight bus to Tokyo and back (though you'd lose a night I guess).

As far as finding "dirt cheap" flights to Tokyo....forget about it Rolling Eyes...the cheapest I've gotten for Tokyo (Haneda) is about $360 which isnt terrible, but definitely not low-cost airline price.

thanks for the links! Still trying to work this out. First destination needs to be Osaka - can make my way there any means. Final destination is Tokyo and need to be back in Seoul on 6th Oct. Getting from Tokyo to Seoul is proving to be difficult.

Anyone have any information on the ferry from Busan to Osaka?

You can check availability here. I took it over for Buddha's Birthday. Takes just under three hours to make the trip across.
