Mr. Peter Appleton has been sending out a lot of unsolicited email lately; I just wanted remind anyone considering teaching English abroad not to waste $1,000 on a Teach & Travel course. In my opinion they don't give you anything you won't find out for yourself your first 2 weeks on the job and your money could be better spent elsewhere.

I disagree. When I came to Korea and taught for the first time, I did not feel totally usless and knew what to expect.

I also had access to resources I otherwise would not have had.

Additionally, when I meet people with the "tt" e-mail address, there is a kind of kindredness.

Besides, that worthless piece of paper which cost me $1000 got me an extra 150,000Won/Month when I was negotiating my contract.

Q: How long does it take to find a post from 2003 in 2009?

A: Not long... but one must wait six years.
