Well I've been on this long and hard job search going on 5 months now. I've submitted to quite a few recruiters for public school and haven't found anything yet. I'm not female, not white, and not a gyopo. (one year of public school experience though)

Any ideas on where I could find something? I've tried CDI, but I think they are mad at me or have blacklisted me because they haven't responded to anything I've sent Laughing I only say that because I turned down a job with them last year because I realized that they didn't pay airfare upfront, and I couldn't afford the airfare to fly out.

I've thought about applying to Avalon, but with the mixed reviews and vacation time, I'm not sure.

Any other big hagwon chains I'm missing out on?

What are your preferences? Have you turned down any offers? 5 months seems excessive for someone with experience.

Same here, minus the experience. Might be best to stick with public schools. In the two months I've been searching, not one recruiter has sent me a hagwon opening. Have to wonder if that's a reflection of current hagwon hiring preferences?
