I just realised that my university pays a month after the end of the pay period (which is also a month). This means that pay for September will come on or after 31st October.

Is this like most other unis?

We are paid a few days before the end of the month for that month's work.

So is your school going to pay you 2 months wage at the end of your contract?

It is a good school I am at in terms of working conditions and teaching and everthing else. I just struck me as a long time to wait for our first substantial pay.

That was also my first reaction - so that means when I finish my last days teaching I will be still owed 2 months salary plus severence?

I said the question only for Unis because as far as I know Hagwons and schools pay much sooner than my uni.

It's better to ask your question to your uni administration or other foreigner working there. Better to get straight answers from a horse mouth. Razz
