Hi,
I'm sure this question has probably been answered somewhere before, but after some laborious searching i can't find the answer...
I have recently secured a teaching position with a start date of october 5th. If I wanted to come to Korea a week or so before the job starts can I do so with the E2 visa? As far as I can tell its only valid for 12 months, so as a guess I'm thinking I wouldn't be able to. Although, i'm sure people must have done this before so there is a way around it...
If anyone can give any advice that would be great.
Thanks! |

The new E21 visa since August you will be getting issued for 13 months to cover not being an overstayer at the end of your contract. You can certainly come early if the visa stamp is in your passport and start work later, but dont expect your new school to automatically have your housing ready and support your housing until your actual contract starts. Your visa is activated on arrival, giving you the week before you start work and 3 weeks at the end to be out of Korea (assuming you want to leave that is |
