|
|
Hi everyone. I did a search for any posts including the word "Bupyeong" and found a few from people who are living here, but because I haven't authored 25 posts I'm not allowed to PM. So, I reaching out to those in Bupyeong and was wondering if anyone was interested in meeting up sometime. I only arrived in South Korea last week, and would really like to make some friends here. I live right across from Bupyeong station. Email [email protected] if you're interested.
Thanks! Hope to hear from you. |

| You live right there at Bupyeong Station? You lucky duck. Wow, that's a great location for shopping, hanging out, or easy traveling on the subway. |

| Yep, right across the street. I agree that I definitely lucked out as far as location. All the bars, like Goose Goose, are across the street from me as well, in the other direction. Are you in Bupyeong too? |

| No, I'm far away in Ilsan, but I've visited that area a few times with friends. Do you know how to use the subway? The #1 line, going north, goes directly to many parts of Seoul. |

There is a BIG going away party Sat night at Goose Goose. There will
be LOTS of people to meet. If you drop by, look for the guy smoking
a cigar and introduce yourself, I'll probably be more and more friendly
as the night goes on. |

| OP, I would recommend that you get to learn all about the many shops and restaurants in the station and all around that area. Then you can invite others to come see the wonderful area in which you live. Are you a public school teacher? If yes, you will have an orientation where you can meet many other teachers. Invite them to that area for shopping and dining and you'll get a chance to make many friends. Bupyeong is such a great part of Korea that it sells itself. I live in Ilsan and it's the same situation for me. Once other teachers see Ilsan and what we have here, they love visiting and are happy to do things with you on the weekend. |

| Thanks very much everyone! These are some good suggestions that I think I'll pursue. I'm afraid that I've caught something of a cold, which I imagine is owed to my body's reaction to the sudden changes I've subjected it to by moving half way around the world, or perhaps I caught it from one of the kids, so I'm afraid I won't be making it to Goose Goose tonight. Thank you very much for the invite and please let me know if you've got anything else happening in the near future! Thanks! |

| Hey I live near the Arts center station in Incheon, close to Bupyeong. I'm also having a hard time meeting people. I've met only one other foreigner here so far and I'm getting pretty bored sitting around my apartment every morning with nothing to do waiting around for work. So I'll shoot you an e-mail. ^_^ |
