I've heard that the market in South Korea is rather flooded right now, and so I was wondering what the job market is like for someone holding a degree in Education?
I already have a BA and next year I will receive my BS in Education, and I've wanted to take a year or two off and teach abroad before looking for work back home. |

You might fare marginally better when applying for a government school job here. You could also try and approach some international schools (better pay), although they might also want classroom experience.
You can also try and broaden your search to places like Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, and even Brunei. They have some good packages for certified classroom teachers.
Definitely don't give up, although having an Edu degree, once you're in, will not necessarily be of much use. Edutainment is the name of the game in most places. |
