Arguably its most impressive opening to date, COMME des GARCONS welcomes a new flagship location in the heart of Seoul. The new retail venture for the Japanese brand plays home to a wide array of popular product, showcased within seven floors of contemporary goodness. Aside from just the retail portion, COMME des GARCONS Seoul also houses the brands SIX Gallery, Rose Bakery, and a COMME des GARCONS PLAY BOX. If in town, be sure to swing by!

I don't often go to places like this in Canada, but I never do in Korea because salespeople don't leave me alone here. My first week in Korea I went to the Galleria in Apgujeong and into the Paul Smith room. A saleslady scurried up so close I could almost feel her breath, and everytime I took a step away, she moved in sync. I left there and went to look at some ties, at which point I had three saleswomen following me. I had a similar experience at Shinsegae in Myeong-dong years later, and it seems most people I talk to about this have similar stories too. |

I want to see the bakery, but most CDG clothes just isn't my style. And paying 400,000WON for a polo isnt me |

This is a place to see, not shop. Buy your socks elsewhere. |

Looks very ultra expensive. Might we spot celebrities shopping there? |

Ive been to CdG in Japan so many times. They have great cafes abd fab cake. I somehow doubt if theyll recreate that here. Probably just expensive for the point of expensive. |

The location finder is working at the link for the story about the store. For some reason it's not working on this page.
It's very close to Hangangjin Station, #631 on the Brown line, one stop from Itaewon Station. |

Yeah, it's basically in the same location where the Leeum Museum used to have their street-side advertisements. I walked in not knowing what it was...friggin expensive, even the cafe. Food looked decent but not worth the price. |

Maybe it's not for you and me, pricewise, but there are some who read boards like this with money to burn. Some "teachers" are here just to "see the world" then they will go back home to their wealthy families to be sheltered until they get married. |

How much are we talking? Clothing prices comparable to Zegna and Paul Smith, or even more? What about the food? |

CDG is crazy expensive. 400,000 for a Polo, probably 200,000 for a tshirt, etc..
CDG has been a fashion powerhouse since the eighties, so its pretty high up there in price |
