Dump it and get a new version when you get where you are going.

It will all be changed by then anyway.

depends on how good ur cell phone is.

i unlocked my blackberry when i went home to Canada for christmas. cost me about 30$ at a Chinese mall (the koreans couldnt do it...)

Anyway, if you just bought a cheap pay as u go type phone, dont even bother...

what country will you be going home to? this is important because u'll have to check and see if your phone supports the bands that your carriers use...

if its a gsm phone, then you'll most likely be able to unlock and use it. if its a cdma phone, 95% chance your out of luck. so just sell it.

there is a turbo sim option - but I dont' know if it really works
