Weather is getting warmer and the cherry blossoms are about to bloom here in Seoul, however, I haven't heard much buzz on the board about the next meet.
Have you all just decided to scrap these?
Couple locations and dates to consider:
April 3rd: 3-day weekend with Monday off. Seoul could be a good trip for everybody because of the holiday.
April 24th: Have a get-together in Pusan in conjunction with the KOTESOL conference down there with Dave in attendance.
MOD feel free to add a poll if there's interest in a Spring meet.
I may finally make an appearance after 13 months of posting on the board.

My take was that the Gwanju meet was attended by a small number of people, quite cliquey, and accompanied by bad weather.
There was a second one?
I'm talking about a meet where a larger amount of people could attend and could include possibly Dave Sperling if he is possibly still on the docket for the April 24 KOTESOL conference in Pusan.
It's not too late to get something together for Dave's arrival.

We should also try again to have a family-oriented picnic when the weather warms up a little more. |

Well, the ladies are having a dinner at Hubble Bubble in Hongdae on the tenth. While seats are very limited for dinner, I'm sure that any guy that cares to join us for drinks after will be welcome. |

I wouldn't mind this. Big open free-for-all anyone welcome up in Seoul. Completely open party for all who are interested is always fun. We haven't had one of that variety in awhile.
Wylde's KwangJu party was completely open.. but location-wise or something or another made it go the way of the Cheonnan ones. A good time for those who went.. but not of the huge nature as some of the Seoul where we've met sometimes up to 40+ posters or so..
The recent follow-up Seoul was kind of a follow-up on that one.. more or less with a wider group. Both were fun and recent.
But yeah... one of those huge open get-togethers with a fixed venue arrive whenever you want.. open to all posters who wants to come out.. always fun. Ahh.. I miss Yellow Bar.. that was perfect for it. I heard they might re-open that venue with another name and different manager. Hope the prices remain the same and it happens soon! |

What happens if we don't have a family? Do we have to kidnap one so that we can come? |

I don't have one either but all of the get-togethers in the past have revolved around drinking...some people who post might be more willing or able to come in the afternoon and if they can bring the kid(s). |

I like the picnic idea.
Yeoido has lovely blossoms around the first week of April. Some might be scared to venture there because it's central to all of the political action.
I vote for a picnic with a bar night afterward.
April 5th might be too soon tho. There's another Monday holiday in April sometime after the first one I believe.

Anybody be up for a Pusan gathering the weekend of April 24.
I don't plan on going to the KOTESOL conference then but would be cool to party with Dave.
Anybody already plan on being down there?
I'm not a party planner so if someone wants to get the ball rollin that's fine. Plus I've never met anybody from the board.
