Should Health insurance be deducted from severance pay?

They deducted tax which I can understand but why would I pay medical on my severance bonus?

They didn't take pension out of it so why health insurance?

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. They aren't paying money into a 13th month. Probably an administrative error.

It's public school and they wouldn't deliberately do that at my school. Pay has been good down to the last won all year.

Does anyone actually KNOW whether we should pay health ins on severance or not?

You're finishing your contract mid-month. Therefore, you might have to pay 13 months of health insurance because you've worked in 13 months. That's the way it's supposed to be with pension, so likely the same for health.

No, I finished my contract Sept 24th. I have worked 12 months exactly.

It's Cheusok man. Me stay home, eat watch movies. Start new job monday.

How's Iza? Cannif left sk and back in states again.

I'm out of the loop on what happened to cannif, but he said he had something to tell me.

About the health insurance, you worked in 13 different months. The way it works with pension, the way it's supposed to work, is that even if you work only one day in any given month, you contribute a whole month's worth. Probably the same goes for health insurance. Wonder how many months you contributed to pension.
