I remember all the fun exciting moments during my first week in Korea. I met so many wonderful people, taught amazing kids and enjoyed my life so much.
I guess you really don't know what you've got till it's gone.
I miss the subways, the population density, the cheap food, the sights and sounds, the short skirts on the hot chicks.
I really miss my kids.

I miss the street food, (fast and free) food delivery, stores open late, marketplaces crammed with a crazy amount of merchandise, and even getting stared at.
I own a vacation home in Seoul that I haven't been able to visit for a year and a half now. I hope all my stuff is still there. 
I'm actually hoping to drop by next year for 2-3 weeks. Usually I get my fill of Korean food by then without starting to miss Western foods. I want to hit up the tourist spots and go shopping. |

You miss the lifestyle.
You'd probably love life back home too could you afford to work just 6 hrs a day, have your apt to yourself pay all utilities and have a grand-plus disposable income every month.... |

Oh, remember the bad in moments like this ( there is so much)
1. Nothing fun-BORING!!!!
2. Ajumes
3. Less then steller apts with no adequate plumbing or
basic things ( such as a table, or ref.).
-How you supposed to live like that?
4. Bratty kids ( and bosses) who make comments about
your "funny big" eyes
5, mean bosses who rip you off and hold your visa.
6. Dirty filth on the streets
7. Bieng alone with no one to help you.
8. Bieng Homeless with no place to go.
9. Not being able to quit your job.
10. Having all your stuff stolen (by the next foreign teacher).
after you are fired and evicted.
Nice huh?

I would bet everythig I own the poster is either
1. A westerner doing the old and tired 'westerner trying to pull off the angry Korean' sock / troll routine
2. A korean who has worked with or breifly socialised with some foriegners and got burned or percieved they got burned in some way and makes sarcy remarks on this board for catharsis or some sense of revenge / ego boost.
3. A westerner pretending to be number 2 |
