Just wondering if people knew of some good eateries throughout Korea that offer breaks from eating the same thing each day. Good Italian, Mexican, Thai, Indian and other restaurants.

Thanks!

Please share for all (including me) Very Happy

My favourite Mexican place is On The Border. There is one at the Coex Mall and another near Sinchon Station. A cheap Mexican place that is pretty good is Dos Tacos, which is in behind one of the buildings near the Kyobo Building in Gangnam. There's also a new Mexican restaurant in Itaewon that is pretty good, but I can't remember the name.

There's a Thai place in Itaewon called Pattaya that is pretty good.

For Indian food, I like Chaakra's. There is one in Itaewon, Nonhyeon Station and another one in Songtan.

Not so sure about Italian. I know of one near Gangnam Station, but wouldn't necessarily say it's great.

Taj Palace for Indian food! I just ate there this weekend and it was fantastic. They serve a buffet on weekends. There were plenty of dishes on the buffet, including at least 6 vegetarian dishes. Right now I'm daydreaming about butter chicken, aloo bean, and samosas.

Mods should move this to General Discussion, this isn't a job post.

Never tried on the border, but for a place with authentic mexican food go to Gangnam station exit 8 go straight for about 30 meters and turn left keep following that road until it will start to curve left. There you should see Taco Rico or something like that. Anyway the cook there is mexican.

The food is great, and I lived in the SW so I know what real mexican food is like.

what's your favorite Italian restaurant?

I'm looking for somewhere romantic with excellent food, that is not in Itaewon if possible.

There's a Peruvian restaurant in Seoul that is quite good, and I've never seen it discussed on Dave's. It's called "Cusco" and it's located a short walk from Hapjeong station.

It's a little bit expensive, but totally worth it for real Peruvian ceviche. Their chicken and rice-type dishes are good too, and I liked their quesadillas although that might just be a Mexican dish. They also serve cold beer in big metal mugs, and sangria.

I think this is their website, they have menus and directions: http://kr.blog.yahoo.com/[email protected]

Divino is probably the best Italian restaurant in Seoul:

The chef is from Italy. It's small and cozy, good atmosphere. Nice, affordable house wine, great pizzas and pastas, and a few nice meat entrees too.

Best Mexican place I found was in Bucheon. Much better than On the Border. It's called "Taco Ria," and it's right beside the Toona, which is right beside Songnae Station. Burritos the size of your forearm. The guy makes his own refried beans and salsa and guacamole.

You won't be disappointed.

Lotteria- This place is divine. I love the bulgogi sauce on the hamburgers.
