Is there a way I can add passport pages while here in Korea? Perhaps at the embassy?
How does one go about it?
Also, has anyone added passport pages before? I REALLY don't want to send my passport back to the US and be here without it for a few weeks.
Thanks. |

You CAN have pages added to your passport at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul but it will cost you $82 as of August of September. It'll take an hour or so. |

You can also just send it to them and have it sent back in just a few days. It's a little expensive, but for me it was worth it to not take the trip to the embassy, and besides, I work during regular business hours anyways.
I did it back when it was free...sucks they raised the price. |

$82 is ridiculous. It's like being punished for traveling and leaving the country. Maybe I'll bring the point up when I go to the embassy to add the pages. |

My buddy gave me the heads up and the only thing I paid for was 6,000 won to have my passport delivered back to me at my office.
That said, just request a lot of pages to be added the next time you renew your passport. I believe that does not cost extra (but please correct me if I am wrong). |

DO NOT get it done in the States. They charge you a ridiculous amount for it (I think it's $40) and it takes a week or so, even if you expedite. If you get it done outside of the country then it's free. I got it done in Seoul and it took a day or two and was free aside from the cost of the courier service to get it back to me. |

That is no longer true; they changed it a few months back. |

Regardless, it's a hell of a lot faster than the three week wait for the same cash in the States. Or you can pay a lot more to have it expedited, if I remember correctly. Boston Passport Agency and I had a bit of a row about that. |

No, it's $110 if you just want the passport book. |

+$25 if you want them to actually do it. $110 is 'application fee' and $25 is "execution fee.' All a little silly how the break it up, but you have to pay both. |

You sure about that? For passport renewal, all that was quoted was the renewal fee of $110. I did see the "execution fee" for first-time applicants for a passport.
I also wonder if they charge more if you ask for a bunch of pages at renewal time. |
