If you've never had the pleasure, well worth the price of admission and if you have,well..you know what your in for (oh to be back at home with more liberal drug laws) |

Where and what kind of venue is AX-Korea?
Thanks for the heads up. But 99,000 Won? Why not just 100,000? |

Check out the pics here. A mid-size concert hall type place. With some odd 'crowdsurfing-gone-wrong-I-snapped-my-spine' partitions on the floor. Definitely an intimate venue for a Flaming Lips show.

ABSOLUTELY ONE HUNDRED PERCENT INCREDIBLE!!!!
This is my favorite band of all time, and I never for a second expected them to come here.
This has made my entire month. |

| can you believe the price though? 99,000 for the Flaming Lips?! It's ridiculous. Mid-sized gigs like this in Korea are seriously overpriced. There should be more outfits like Super Colour Super who put on affordable shows. I seriously can't believe anyone would pay 99,000 for a gig. |

I did. Did you see pics of the venue. Not too big at all. Lips are a top band, and if you can see them in a place that holds 2000 people at W100,000, i think it is not a bad deal at all. Now if it were just them at a stadium or some field with 30,000 in attendance, that would make it a whole new story!
Can't wait!!!!!!!!! |

It's on a Saturday.
+1 to DaeguKid
99,000 = seeing one of the best rated live acts around, that has come half-way round the world to play at a 2,000 seat hall. That wouldn't even be lame on a Tuesday. |

yeah, really excited about this upcoming show! unfortunately, i don't know anyone else interested in going - not that that's ever kept me from attending a show.
jonsi from sigur ros is playing at the same place later in the month.
if anyone wants to meet up for either of those, let me know. |

I must really be around the wrong people, most of the people I know have no idea about bands like Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros. I lived in Gangnam and had contact with alot of young dudes/professionals and they had no idea about this music. Is there really a fan base for that stuff here? In Japan, sure, but here? I think I was shocked when I caught one student listening to Massive Attack.
btw, no Ronald Jones, no FL |
