The real thing or the artificial variety?
If A) then Namdaemun underground.
If B) then home-plus (250ml bottles with a yellow label usually found in the baking section near the cocoa and powdered sugar.

I went to Homeplus, but didn't see any there. I noticed some places selling powdered vanilla, but I've never baked with powder. Are the measurements the same for powder and liquid form?
Where in Namdaemun do they sell the vanilla extract, and is it super expensive? |

Telling us your location would help us help you
And when you can get it, it's like 5,000won for a 1oz bottle of the plain Mccormick stuff. Glad I brought back a 16 oz bottle (I bake a lot). |

| I'm in seoul, so that's why i asked where in Namdamun. Wow, 5,000 won is steep. I'm kicking myself for not bringing over the huge vanilla extract from Costco that was only ten bucks. |

| I've never seen vanilla extract here, only imitation vanilla. 4 oz for 10k won in either homeplus or the world food market in the Hyundai department store. |

| Try costco. I don't know if they have it for sure, but they carry most of the kirkland stuff. They should have it at a baking specialty store as well. I don't know where one in Seoul is, but when I lived in Daegu they had one near DongDaegu station. |

| The foreign food mart in Itaewon has the 1 ounce McCormick stuff (or used to), but yes, it was about 5000-6000 won. I brought some from home because it's not economical to buy here. Can you get someone to send you some? |
