So yesterday Mr. Crybaby attempted a lot of damage control. This guy basically tried to pin his f-up on everyone in the team. Now, management is on to him, thus they dont really believe him too much. However, 2 people were out yesterday. These 2 people are working on the same project as I am, and this project has absolutely nothing to do with the project he just fed up. So what does Mr. Crybaby do? Well he tries to say that he delegated the most important part of the project to these 2 absent coworkers. LIAR!
These 2 are friends of mine- I called them and talked to them. I casually asked them both (separately) if they were done yet with Mr. Crybabys work. Both of them had no idea what I was talking about.
I then called the team leader and asked him if we could talk. He said he was going to be in my part of the building so he would stop in. A few minutes pass and he arrives. (Is it me or is anyone else uncomfortable when the boss is in your office? I always get freaked out – like is this place a pigsty? is he inspecting?) Anyway we begin to just talk about nothing in particular. I finally steer the conversation to my two teammates and how hard (no kidding-they really have been working hard) they have been working on our XYZ project. The team leader agrees and tells me that once the project is finished (2 more months!) he is going to give them a 3 day weekend each. Just as he is saying this, that sneaky bastard, Mr. Crybaby (who was listening in the hall) pushes into my office. I told him to get out, turn around, knock, and then perhaps he can come in- this isnt your mommys house where you come and go as you please. This embarrassed him further, but if I dont react like that then, in a matter of days, I would be teaching free English lessons on my lunch break. He looks at the team leader who gives him the what are you waiting for? look, and reluctantly does that.
Anyway Mr. Crybaby starts going on about being the scapegoat and how that I, Lush, was the only valuable member (nice try a$$hole) of the XYZ project, the other 4, and particularly the 2 absent people, are all worthless. This sparks a discussion between the boss and Mr, Crybaby that (thankfully) I was mostly left out of. Finally both of these guys cell phones ring and they excuse themselves.
Later on that day Mr. Crybaby (Mr. Wangta!) is at his desk, defeated. The boss knows the score and saw through all Mr. Crybabys lies. Suddenly, without ANY warning whatsoever, Mr. Crybaby LOSES IT! He starts screaming (sitting at his desk) about being the scapegoat before pounding on the desk (2 fist style) and then, for his grand finale, he swept the contents of his desk top (sans monitor) on to the floor in a burst of cry-screaming. No one moved at all, the place was dead quiet. Mr. Crybaby then started to hyperventilate and some compassionate fools came up to pick up the crap from his desk and pat him on the back.
I wonder what will happen today. |

Hopefully he'll jump from the roof.
Luckily you'll get a call out of the office and you won't have to deal with the guy.
I couldn't handle that situation myself... |

God damnit! Why can't anything cool like that happen at my place of employment? The only screaming I get on a daily basis is from one of the little kindergarden brats getting pissed off that I used their eraser on someone else's book.
I gotta find some cool coworkers damnit... |

Ah, lunch was nice today. Well It is now 2:05 pm and it looks like the fun is almost ready to start! Mr. Crybaby told everyone how my two teammates screwed him yesterday- and everyone told those same two what Mr. Crybaby said this morning.
So all morning there has been a flurry of emails and meetings, as these two are now out for blood. They have managed to collectively gather evidence of multiple f-ups on Mr. Crybabys part. Whats worse is that Mr. Crybabys own team is cautiously avoiding him today.
So what is Mr. Crybaby doing? He has spent the morning slamming desk drawers closed, slamming doors, slamming the photocopier lid, and slamming his office phone into the receiver, generally letting everyone know how mad he is. Additionally, he has been hissing (exhaling ridiculously loudly) at his desk all morning. (OK- I admit- this has been amusing to watch. This is the first time in months that my door has been open all day)
I know the 2 team members are furious and they are planning to confront him this afternoon, I just dont know when. Ill keep those interested updated! |

Nothing better than an office scandal/ saga. Why not stirr things up a bit, help him to shoot himself? Its all good clean fun. |

I take it these are all Koreans you are dealing with. Sounds like a million crises in the hagwons I used to teach in. They really don't grow up. Instead of their mother making their food and doing their laundry, now their wife does it. They get taller and bald, but on the inside they are still nine years old. You must have been trying really hard not to laugh. I envy you. |

Are you sure mr. Crybaby doesn't work for the opposition party. Sounds exactly like the theatrics when the president was impeeched.
Just say to him what goes around comes around |

Man, if only guns were legal in Korea, the whole workforce would already have been laying in pools of blood for the news reporters. This guy is nuts!!
I say hound him as much as possible, and act like a drill sergeant. Laugh at him and increase the isolation factor. Flick his ears and put KICK ME signs (in Korean) on his back. What an amusing situation! Plenty of opportunity there... |
