Hi all -

Where can I buy a Magic Jack in South Korea? Is there a website I can order from that will ship here? (Magic Jack's official website won't do it.) Is there a reseller I can buy it from in person? (I'm in Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon-do, pretty close to Seoul.)

If it's a website, one that accepts payment in won would be preferable, though I doubt that'll be available...

Are any of you guys selling?

Thanks for your help,
dedede

They sell it at any place with 2 barber poles outside.

As in...like, a barber shop? I've been living here for a while, but normally the places that I see with barber poles outside are barber shops...right? I think I'm missing something...

before i googled it, i was thinking magic jack is a great euphemism for all manner of things that could get this website in trouble with outraged 'netizens'. and it turns out there is one: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=magic+jack

I tell ya, that urban dictionary has proved invaluable for figuring out what you young uns' are talking about!

(Yes, I realize by the time I learn a new term it is usually no longer used)

Magicjack found -

Thanks guys. I actually ended up finding one on a Korean website after some slogging through hits on Naver.com and awkward hangul typing. (Turns out MagicJack is 매직잭 in hangul). Sorry to B0101; I guess I should have waited longer to hear from you. I thought my posting to a thread you hadn't started, and not you directly, was a long shot with respect to getting ahold of you. I never thought you'd respond!

And yeah, lol at the barber pole joke - I guess I've been in Gangwando too long; I'm losing my sense for puns in English...

If anyone is still looking for one, see my post on the buy/sell/trade forum.

Even if you don't get it from me, I highly recommend it. Smile
