I went through GMSC Recruiting and they were everything I hoped for! I worked with Soon Chan and he got me the exact position I wanted, where I wanted and then followed up with me for the first month after I arrived. He was also really helpful throughout the entire process of getting my visa, and he replied to my emails and phonecalls quickly. My experience with them was really great and I recommend them. |

I used GMSC and Soon Chan for my first job in Korea 4 years ago. The job ended up being terrible. My first school that they set me up with didn't give me health insurance, didn't pay into the pension, avoided giving me my vacation time and gave me my severence months after I finished my contract. To be fair I shouldn't have been so naive at the time and should have looked more deeply into the school by talking with the current teachers that worked there. When I did get there I started hearing horror stories from the current foriegn teacher. So my advice is to be cautious as you would with any recruiter and ask a lot of questions. Stay away from Academies and go for a public school gig. Best of luck! |
