Do you play an instrument, and want to play in the Camarata Music Company's upcoming concert of Handel's "Messiah"? CMC is looking for enthusiastic musicians to play in our upcoming concert, on December 18, 2010. We are looking specifically for violins, violas, cellos, flutes, oboes, trumpets, bassoons, and timpani. If you play any of these instruments and would like to play, please let me know, so we can arrange an audition.

The Camarata Music Company is a non-profit organization that provides an opportunity for people, both Korean and foreigners, to perform beautiful classical music together. With the lack of performance opportunities within Korea, we aim to provide an avenue for classical musicians to perform, hone in on their musical technique, build repertoire, and perform. With members from many nationalities (currently 19 different nationalities), we hope to bring many different experiences from people of many different cultures. We also wish to provide more opportunities for the public to hear classical performances, and experience collaborative performances of people from many different nationalities.

Last year's concert (our inaugural production), had an attendance of over 1,000 people, including CEO's from numerous companies, and the ambassadors from both the U.S. and Denmark. This year's concert plans to be even bigger!

Don't play an instrument, but still want to be involved? Contact us, and we can let you know of the various opportunities to be involved, or check out our website at: http://www.camaratamusic.com.

i've played the violin for almost 20 years, but I left it back home. I might be interested, but Handel, playing at a church... is this a preachy orchestra? Religious music is no problem, but I get enough people on the street telling me about Jesus, I don't want to voluntarily subject myself to it.

Also, I read your link but cannot find much information, what kind of practice schedule do you guys keep?

it's at a church, but CMC is not affiliated with a church or religion. There may be a tiny bit of preaching if it is related to the music with the conductor (i have a famous conductor coming in). However, the company is very professional in nature.

Please give me a call at 010-9806-8655, and we can discuss further.

Best,

Ryan
