Sorry, sorry. Embarassed * I hate it when Koreans do that to me (call me old), I didn't think I'd ever catch myself doing that...

I'll second what was said earlier. If you're starting down the path of this long road, YBM is great. The further down the path you get the more woeful the classes become until you get to about the fifth level where I put an end to the masochism.

I will be starting at level 4 or 5. What goes wrong at the higher levels?

The content of the classes veer off into the no-man's land of obsolete expressions and structures which become so much useless junk occupying precious brain space.
As soon as your teacher teaches you 'Ϲ ص', run.

In fairness, I've heard that the unis do this too to a certain extent. My (completely fluent in Korean) friend says that in the higher levels of Yonsei he learned constructions that in 10 years of living his daily life in Korean since, he has never once heard again. I wouldn't be too worried about it. I don't expect to learn colloquial expressions and slang from a class, I'll learn those from friends.

I just went there to YBM Jongno to check out some class times and levels and they were totally unhelpful. I was the only one in the place and had to pry information out of the receptionist. She was completely unhelpful and after making the trip all the way out there, she tells me to come back during the week. She handed me a pamphlet which answered zero of my questions and basically kicked me out the door. I am seriously considering going elsewhere.
