Some corner stores carry Mountain Dew. It can be hard if you're looking for it but easy to find by just coming across it. Hit and miss. Trust me, I've been through it.
(No root beer whatsoever though, at least not in eight years of keeping my eyes open for it.) |

The Filipino market at the Hyehwa rotary on Sundays has it, as does the foreign food store in Itaewon (at the base of hooker hill). |

There are enough mountains, just go around 6am and voila.
Obvious I know but inevitable. |

Lotte Mart sells 1 liter bottles for about 1500 won. I try not to buy them too often, but Mt. Dew is liquid ambrosia. |

Years ago it was unheard of, but there was a rip-off brand called "Mountain High."
These days I occasionally see "Mountain High" around so they must still be making it.
I was trying to remember that cola brand that was popular here before Coke took over the market but the brain's not recovered yet from years of Mountain High. |

They have A&W at the Foreign Food Store next to where What the Book? was before it moved.
Well, if you call A&W rootbeer.... LoL, I miss Barq's. |

A former addict of Mt Dew myself you can get it in most Family Mart's here and in plenty of vending machines around Seoul. Unfortunately I think they use a slightly different syrup or mixture in the Dew they sell here as it doesn't taste as good IMHO.
anyone else have that experience? |

The Mountain Dew sold here is absolutely not the same formula sold in the West, and I don't think it's even close. I think it's less sweetened. Funny that the bottles now say "Original American Formula" or whatever it is on them, when it clearly isn't. You can usually buy some of the real stuff over at Hannam Supermarket. |

Hmmm, I was just so happy to find Mt Dew, I haven't noticed any difference. Maybe this requires a taste test? |
