The Axis powers of WWII were Germany, Japan and Italy, all three incredible manufacturers of automobiles:

Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagon
Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki, Mazda, Subaru
Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Fiat

When it comes to engineering, the world-dominating-ethic evil Axis of the past far transcends the Bush Administration's so-called "Axis of Evil".
