|
|
My Korean Omnia II does not have English capability and I was wondering if I could install American version of Windows Mobile 6.5 on it. I just spent 2+ hours getting the phone activated today and I'm really hesitant to try it because I'm afraid I might f--k it up and not know how to fix it. Anyone know? |

Not to sound like a jerk, but it's really not that daunting to use a phone in Korean, I did it last year
You can figure out how to add/edit contacts pretty easily and send texts.
I'd advise learning to read Korean (takes about a day or two if you're diligent) and have a Korean friend walk you through the phone. You'll be surprised at how easy it becomes and soon you'll be understanding every function.
Just in case it's not possible to put it into English |

I'm a jerk for suggesting that someone who lives in Korea and bought a phone without English capability learn how to use it in Korean?
I think people who make useless posts trying to be a smart-ass or call out others are jerks, don't you have something better to do with your spare time? I guess not...
As for the original OP, I hope it's working out for you which ever avenue you went. I imagine there would be a lot of difficulty getting an English OS up and running on it with the correct settings required to operate it here. If you managed to do that great, if not I hope you've learned to manage it in Korean. Would be interesting to hear back. |
