For me, a pilot.

That dream was dashed when my doctor told me at age 12 that my eyes weren't good enough to fly. That isn't true these days. That one conversation really changed me. I sometimes wished the doc had shut his trap and just treated my fever.

ditto, although i don't know how much was my actual desire to aviate vs. my upbringing. when i was a toddler my dad used to always say "fly planes! fly planes!" because he wanted to fly for free when he got old Laughing

I never knew what i wanted to be when i was young. In school we used to have to write reports or do presentations on "what do you want to be when you grow up". Had to BS my way through it and lie. Could never figure it out. Saw the Lion King when i was 12 and Decided to go to Art school.

Now I work on Movies / commercials and occasionally TV stuff but I hate working on TV shows.

In order:

a cat
a gymnast
a neo-natal intensive care nurse
a paleontologist (long before Jurassic Park, thank you very much)
a forensic anthropologist
an editor
a teacher

Now it looks like I'm back to square one. I wonder if it's too late to become a cat?

Yes, being a (cool) cat sounds great! Or else a monkey who loves cats.

In grade nine I read Nietzsche and decided to be an Ubermensch. Out of that ideal I've emptied most of the Nietzschean content, but the desire to overcome the human condition remains the same, if not stronger.

I wanted to be a marine biologist or (deep sea diver) or an astronaut because those are the only places that haven't been explored.

Then I wanted to be a zoologist.

Now I want to be a professional model; I'm on my way but this job is making me turn down good opportunities. It is so nice having security though -_-
