You need to get a copy of your degree notarised (10 euro) and apostilled (20 euro per document). You will also need to get your CBC apostilled.
You will only need 1 of each.
Total cost - 50 euro. |

Trying to get the copy of my degree notarised now. Is it just a signature from a solicitor on the copy of the degree or is it something else.
And do you not have to get the CBC notarised as well? |

Yes, a signature and stamp from a solicitor is what I did. You can get it signed by a commissioner of oaths instead, if one lives near you.
Your CBC is already signed and stamped by the local superintendent so it only needs to be apostilled. |

You get it apostilled at the Dept. of Foreign Affairs on St. Stephens green. |

Do I notarise the documents/copies with a solicitor first and then get it apostilled in Dublin? |

You need to get it signed and stamped by a Commisioner of oaths. Then bring it to the office of the supreme court at the four courts to have the stamp verified. Then bring it to the Dept. of Foreign affairs on St. Stephens Green, where they appostile it. It takes about 20 mins and you can wait for it.
Your copy of your degree needs all the stamps ( i.e. commisioner and four courts) your CBC only needs the apostille from the dept of foreign affairs as its already signed by a superintendent.
So basically in steps.
1. have a commisioner of oaths sign it (this may be a soliciter, often bank managers or occasional chemists are)
2. bring it the office of the supreme court at the four courts, where they verify it.
3. bring it to the Dept. of Foreign Affairs where they give it the actual apostille.
It honestly sounds more complicated than it is. If you need anymore help P.M me or just ask here.
Best of luck. |
