I will be working on my documents and preparing early for the August 2011 TaLk program.
Does anyone have tips on being accepted?
I read an article that mentioned nearly 80% of the TaLk scholars are Korean American/Canadian/etc. Why is this number so high? |

One would think that 100% of them would be "Korean American/Canadian/etc." After all, what would be left? |

I knew what you meant. I just was joking with you because when you add in "etc." that includes everyone, even us chickens. |

I've been on the campus where they train the TaLKers on two different occasions, and I can assure you there were plenty of non-Koreans mixed into the group. I'd estimate at least 30%. |

I made a post awhile back about the ones in that program. Where I live there were tons of them everywhere. Although a fair amount looked Asian, the majority were not. And they had white, black, female, male, young, old, fat, skinny, etc. In other words, a huge range of "types". It looked to me as if they were making sure that the program was representing "Everyone". |
