| Maybe. I hope they put Taco Bells all around Seoul, especially near Jonggak and Seoul Stations, so no one has to overpay for Tex-Mex. |
Seriously... Jonggak? Who in their right mind would go to Taco Bell over Tomatillo? |

Answer this question and you'll answer your own question- How much is a taco at Tomatillo compared to Taco Bell? That's why Taco Bell is doing so well. Taco Bell is a much better value. |

Itaewon I understand. That place is filthy, so it puts you in the mindset of accepting lower standards (of anything) after a few too many mekjus. But Jonggak is another beast entirely. That area actually has quality food in a setting with matching standards. (With the exception of the few Indian restaurants there; outside of Ganga, no matter how good the food, Indian restaurants in Korea always look rundown.)

Taco Bell is cheaper, yeah, but... 1/4 of the price and 1/10 of the quality doesn't exactly scream 'value' to me.
But hey, to each his own. If you prefer Taco Bell, I can't tell you your taste buds are wrong. I just have memories of those drive-thrus back home that seem completely incongruous to areas like Jonggak. |

haha, sorry, but what's so sacred about jonggak? a few japanese ramen shops, a coco ichiban, tomatillo, and the standard assortment of korean bbq.
there's a burger king and a mcdonalds in jonggak too, you know. also, some rancid place called 'sunshine kebabs.' |

It's clean.

And I don't know why anyone would go to those places either given the other options in the area (unless you actually live in Jonggak; then I guess you'd have an excuse). |

Hongae has been nicknamed "Itaewon West" for the past several years.
You might try the Samcheong-dong area behind Gyeonggbuk Palace subway station. |

Let's hope slowly means a few decades.
One Itaewon is enough for this lifetime. |
